Around 1865 Folin commissioned Nachet in Paris to make his ophthalmoscope. It consists of a brass frame with a concave glass mirror. The ivory handle is screwed on the frame. There is a clear aperture in the center. The disc on the back has four correcting lenses (two minus and two plus). These can be rotated in front of the aperture. |
